Transformations and SymmetryDilations

All dilations have a center and a scale factor. The center is the point of reference for the dilation and scale factor tells us how much the figure stretches or shrinks.

If the scale factor

The scale factor of two similar geometric figures is the ratio of any two corresponding lengths.

A scale factor less than 1 indicates the shape is shrinked, and a scale factor greater than 1 indicates the shape is enlarged.
